The artwork created for this exhibition illustrates the collective noun for a “kaleidoscope of butterflies”. The treatment of the butterfly has come about from a darker exploration of the parts of the Greek word, with ‘kalos’ – meaning beautiful and ‘psyche’ as the reflection of the soul into a mirror. It celebrates the beautiful image of the butterfly in its fragmented geometry.
The artwork is printed on Kodak film and presented in a slimline black light box.
